Company History
In 1957, the company’s founder pioneered the production of papain, a plant-source protease enzyme derived from papaya. SEB has carried forth the tradition of that entrepreneurial spirit since 1985. Its extensive biotech experience has led to the development of more than 200 unique enzyme solutions addressing the needs of customers in 25 industries and over 30 countries.
SEB prides itself on being one of
the few manufacturers in the world to produce a full spectrum of enzymes from plant, fungal, bacterial and animal origin using all natural methods of
production. These include extraction and fermentation in both solid state and submerge culture techniques.
